MEEKER I For a third year in a row, Pattie Terp is the Meeker Women’s Club champion after dominating the field in the annual 18-hole championship tournament.
Terp topped the field of 10 local lady golfers, shooting an 86, which was 11 shots ahead of Peggy Back, who finished with the second best gross score in the group.
Pat Sanson, who has only been golfing for three years and last year won the “booby prize” for the highest score, turned in the best net score this year. Sanson’s net score of 67 was three strokes better than second-year golfer Irene Kilbane.
“This is the most fun group of ladies,” Back, who is the current club president said of the approximately 15 active members. “We play every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.”
Judy Eskelson, Annelise Neumier, Olynna Pierson, Jill Massey, Danielle Feola and Susie Sprod rounded out the field.
The Old Farts In Carts (OFIC) golf tournament is the next tournament to be played on the Meeker Golf Course, scheduled for Sept. 13-14.
