LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Tell your stories at the Pioneers dinner and dance

Dear Editor:

The Rio Blanco County Pioneers dinner and dance is Saturday. If you aren’t interested in the dinner and “meeting,” come for the dance. It’s just $10. And – best of all, starting at 3 p.m., you can share your story with one of a few people who will be there to video, visit, collect the information. If you want to share memory of a certain person (examples: teacher, neighbor, sister), event (examples: homecoming, branding, canning, holiday or other family get-togethers), place (examples: Trappers Lake, your grandmother’s house), or other person/place/thing that is important to you – please do. If you want your story to be more geared toward genealogy and family tree stuff – please share that!

To make an appointment (recommended but not required) please call the museum (970-878-9982). And, if you can’t attend, and still have a story to share, send it to the White River Museum, c/o Capturing Our Culture, PO Box 413, Meeker CO 81641. We’ve already received one story from a person who no longer lives here but has an interesting history to share.

I hope to see you this Saturday!

Cheers!
