CALL SUMMARIES
1/19/2025 @ 4:02 pm. A call came into the Communications Center regarding someone shooting explosives near County Road 7. Deputies responded and found the residence where tannerite was being shot. The shooters were given a warning regarding the legalities of owning tannerite.
1/20/2025 @ 2:31 pm. Meeker PD issued a warrant for a male party that had used an account at a local business without permission. The male was subsequently arrested by Garfield County Sheriff’s Office on the warrant.
1/23/2025 @ 4:04 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely Volunteer Fire Dept. with locating a smoke report. It was determined the smoke was coming from a flare at a gas plant.
1/24/2025 @ 5:37 pm. A traffic complaint reported to the communications center resulted in a traffic stop by Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy contacted the semi that was reported to not be able to maintain his lane. The driver was issued a warning.
1/25/2025 @ 2:46 pm. Colorado Parks and Wildlife contacted a caller who reportedly saw a wolf in a field 5 miles north of Meeker.
