J.C. Watt, former owner of Watt’s Ranch Market, who served 13 years at the helm of the very successful Meeker High School wrestling program, was inducted into the “Cowboy Up” hall of fame last Saturday at Meeker High School. The Class of 2020 established the award to recognize a community member, past or present, who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to Meeker High School. Each successive graduating class votes on an inductee. Watt was selected by the graduating class of 2024.Previous award recipients include Kay Bivens, Debbie Cook, Ed Coryell, and three members inducted by the Class of 2020: Dale Frisby, Bobby Gutierrez and Dale Dunbar.
