LETTER TO THE EDITOR – April 24th, 2025

Protect our libraries

Dear Editor:

I have used and loved libraries all my life, and have had a library card since quite young, at least age 12. At 77, I no longer collect my own books, so my kids won’t have so much to go through when I die, so I NEED the library more than ever, I usually read at least one book a week.

I find the library such a wonderful source of information, entertainment, comfort and socialization. In ancient times, libraries were THE source of education, and although not quite as much now, we sorely need them!  What a beautiful link to our past heritage, we cannot ever lose them!

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Sherry Mathson
