Community News Roundup ~ March 26, 2026

Herald Day is here running late.

The newspaper business has been part of my life since I was 5, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: if it’s not one thing, it’s another.

This time, it’s the printer in Montrose. Something — we’re not entirely sure what — caused a delay, and we won’t have this week’s edition in-house until Thursday. That means a lot of schedule juggling on our end, but we’ll get papers to the post office and in stores as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, if you’re a print subscriber and haven’t activated your online access (it’s included!), this is a great week to do it. Just send us your email and the name on your subscription, and we’ll get you set up.

We appreciate your patience — and your graciousness. If anyone has a spare printing press, a pair of ruby slippers, or a teleporter, we’re taking donations.

Happy last week of March, friends. Thanks for sticking with us.

~Niki
