MEEKER | Come join us for a couple of hours of peace and quiet. On Saturday May 23, we are gathering at the Highland Cemetery between 8 and 8:30 a.m. If you can give an hour or two of your time, our local VFW is once again decorating the graves to honor past members of the Armed Forces.
Volunteers are invited to help place flags. No experience is needed. Families are welcome. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to explain to kids the sacrifices and patriotism of Meeker and our country.
This is our country’s 250th anniversary! Let us take time to honor those who fought to create and maintain our freedom.
