ARRESTS
6/18/2026- A 38 year old male was arrested by Meeker PD for a Protection Order Violation and Harassment. He was transported to jail and released on a PR bond.
CALL SUMMARIES
6/14/2026 @ 2:03 pm. A campfire was left unattended in the Miller Creek area prompted a response from the Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, preventing it from turning into an unplanned wildfire.
6/15/2026 @ 6:44 pm. An afternoon ride behind Kenney Reservoir took an unexpected turn when a 4-wheeler crash resulted in injuries to the rider. Despite being hurt, the rider was able to make it to the hospital for treatment.
6/15/2026 @ 10:06 pm. Concerned motorists reported a semi-truck driving into the opposite lane on Highway 64. After locating the vehicle, a deputy issued the driver a warning for failure to maintain lane.
6/18/2026 @ 12:49 am. A male party allegedly chose the least effective and most illegal way to get someone’s attention by parking outside a protected person’s residence and honking his horn. Meeker PD responded and took the male into custody.
6/20/2026 @ 11:33 am. A one vehicle crash occurred near the 64 mile marker on Highway 139. The single occupant had injuries and was transported to the hospital. Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash.
6/20/2026 @ 6:22 pm. Reports of careless driving led Meeker PD and Rio Blanco County Sheriff to stop a vehicle occupied by several juveniles within the Meeker town limits. Witnesses reported a glass bottle had been thrown from the vehicle onto Highway 13 creating both litter and future tire hazard. The driver received a citation for Careless Driving, while the passenger responsible for the bottle was issued a warning. In a lesson that would hopefully stick with the juveniles, the occupants were sent back to clean up the shattered glass.
