David Hilary Smith Jr. was born in the Meeker family ranch home on April 20, 1931, to David Hilary Smith Sr. and Jessie Ray (Cunningham) Smith.

After nearly 84 busy and fulfilling years and some debilitating health problems, he passed away Tuesday April 7, 2015, at Pioneers Hospital.

I had the pleasure of working with David at RBC years ago. I have always had the utmost respect for his dedication, tenacity, compassion and wonderful sense of humor. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy, amazing, family, and many friends. He truly made a difference.
