Memorial Day: It is never too late to honor our fallen troops

Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5843, members of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and members of the Meeker American Legion Post No. 74 marched in Highland Cemetery in Meeker to mark the beginning of the Memorial Day observance in Meeker. The ceremony was complete with laying a wreath on the memorial in the cemetery, a 21-gun salute and “Taps.”

Rangely held two Memorial Day ceremonies—at the Veterans Memorial and at Rangely Cemetery on May 25—and one of the members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars to salute the flag was Rangely veteran Gary Hinaman.
