The scheduled improvements will include: river wayside access points, walkway connections, a concrete parking lot, an activity promenade with a basketball court, volleyball court and horseshoe pits, as well as enhancements to lighting, fencing, drainage and much more.
According to a press release from the ERBM, initial mobilization and start up is scheduled for early September.
Once completed, these amenities will provide an exceptional park experience to residents and visitors alike, but be aware that there will be a prolonged closure of the park throughout the project. Work will begin this fall with riverbank stabilization while the river is at its lowest flow and continue on into spring and summer of 2017.

Speaking of park enhancements, after some heating upgrades to the Sanderson Hills and Paintbrush Park restrooms, these facilities will now be open year-round to accommodate park users during the cooler weather season. Town Park restroom will also be open year-round once renovations are complete.
There have been other noticeable park improvements this year such as the removal of the old tennis courts at Sage Hills Park with the installation of sod to create a usable park space for the neighborhood, and there are also significant improvements to concrete walkways and the ballfield concession building at Paintbrush Park.
There’s also plenty of new programming innovations to be aware of this fall, including: Stand Up Paddleboarding, loads of great fitness classes, karate and the Introductory Fit Room program.
Also starting up this fall, the drop-in Tot Spot will be operating at the recreation center and at the administration building during key fitness class times.
