Hughes leads Meeker Cowboys, 18-8, in first grid game of season

Meeker senior Cole Brown used his experience to get position and his leaping ability to pull down a catch in the first quarter of the Cowboys’ season opener in Ault. Brown led the Cowboys to an 18-8 victory with five catches, including one for a touchdown against the Highland Huskies. The Cowboys are scheduled to kick off against the Coal Ridge Titans in Silt on Friday at 7 p.m.
