The Meeker Cowboys continued to show offensive firepower while gaining valuable experience in close games, splitting a doubleheader against Battle Mountain.
Meeker won the first game 25-14 before falling 21-20 in the second game. The split moved the Cowboys to 2-3 on the season.
The Cowboys’ bats were productive throughout the doubleheader, combining for 49 hits and 45 runs. Meeker hit .618 as a team in the opener and .625 in the second game.
