Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District, we would like to thank State Senator Randy Baumgardner and State Representative Bob Rankin for coming to Rangely and meeting with us in person to discuss the White River Storage Project. We are appreciative of the fact that both lawmakers took time out of their busy schedules to join us on a tour of the proposed reservoir site, and that they took such a keen interest in this important project. Both Sen. Baumgardner and Rep. Rankin asked good questions, listened to the answers, and offered helpful suggestions and critical support for the project. In addition, we would like to further thank Senator Baumgardner for attending the Rangely Town Council work session and council meeting, in order to learn more about the White River Storage Project, and to listen to the concerns of local residents. It was encouraging to see our state senator spend time out here in his district, speaking with and learning from the people he represents, and working to support our interests. We are grateful for both Senator Baumgardner and Representative Rankin for their continued dedication to Rangely, our people and economy, and for their effective representation of northwest Colorado.
Respectfully,
Alden Vanden Brink
