MEEKER | Fred and Elaine Ellis of Meeker are this week’s “home of” honorees. The Ellises have lived here 16 years and have been married 46 years.
Fred is a cowboy poet, and he started “Cowboy Christian Ministries” 12 years ago. As CCM, Fred gives a one-man cowboy poet show intertwined with a gospel message at 26 Colorado prisons annually. During the summer, Fred, as CCM, takes the inmates’ children on weeklong horse trips. Fred…
