On Oct. 5, 2018, Meeker Lions Club President Joy Clymer (right) presented Kris Casey, coordinator of the eighth grade Washington D.C. field trip with two checks. The eighth grade kids received a check for $4,430.08 and the 4-H kids received a check for $1,277.51. The eighth graders and 4-H kids participated in the concession stand food sales during the 12 weeks of the Summer Rodeo Series. The Meeker Lions Club provided the food and donated the outstanding proceeds to the two youth groups. A big thank you to Regas Halandras and Dale Smith for overseeing the concession stand and events.
