Dear Editor:
I read that Gary Moyer wants questions submitted to him by phone regarding his stance on political issues. So I have another question for both Gary and Reed and I ask this through the Herald Times because political issues need to be addressed in the public forum.
My question is what do our potential county commissioners feel is the responsibility of the free press? Further, to what degree is the news media acting responsibly when it asks candidates for their stance on issues and prints both candidates’ perspectives? Do they feel that our local news source is “fake news?”
