MEEKER | Early Friday Meeker was alive with the send off for Briar Meszaros to the 2018 Colorado State Cross Country race. Meszaros represented Meeker cross country at the 2A State Competition the following day in Colorado Springs. The field consisted of 114 girls from across the state and Briar finished 36th with a time of 22 minutes and 45 seconds.
Meszaros, a senior, is no stranger to the state competition, she also qualified and ran state last year. Head coach Marty Casey couldn’t be prouder saying, “Briar put in the summer miles, and started the season ready to race. She worked hard every week, with an eye on the post-season. She earned her success and she represents her team and her school.”
