MEEKER | Meeker High School senior Kallie McCain is one of 10 Colorado winners of the Burg Simpson Scholarship Competition, receiving $1,000 for her 1,500-word essay about the importance of the civil jury system as the guardian of American rights and liberties. Partnering with the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) over the past eight years, they have awarded over $92,000 in scholarships to college-bound students.
