Dear Editor:
I am requesting the people of Meeker to vote for me for the board of directors of the ERBM Recreation and Park District. I have lived in the great town of Meeker, Colorado, for the majority of my life and have deep roots within the community.
I am currently a board member for ERBM and I have been serving on the board since 2015. During my time with ERBM, we have accomplished a lot of great things. The ERBM has created the Sanderson Hills Park, the Phillip and Dorcas Jensen Memorial Park and trail system. ERBM has also been a part of the enhancement of the parks throughout the community. These are a few of the board’s accomplishments and I hope to help accomplish many more in the future with your vote.
I know the nation is going through rough times right now. The vast majority of the funds the ERBM Recreation and Park District receive are due to the oil and gas industry. There will be some tough decisions in the future for the board and we will be working on deciding what is best for the ERBM and community. I’m hoping you will vote for me on May 5 to have the honor of being on the board of directors again. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and consider voting for me.
