MEEKER | Lace up your sneakers and grab your morning coffee! A true community classic is back to kick off Independence Day. ERBM Recreation & Park District’s annual Run for Your Life 5K (Run & Walk) will take over the streets of Meeker Saturday, July 4.
As one of the area’s most beloved holiday traditions, this festive race regularly draws hundreds of local and visiting participants, offering the perfect high-energy start to your July 4 festivities.
The “Run for Your Life” 5K is all about community spirit, making it fully open to all ages and skill levels. Elite runners, first-time walkers, kids, parents with strollers, and even well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Every registered participant gets a race shirt, a chip-timed bib, and an American flag to proudly wave down Main Street as you cross the finish line. Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Registration & Packet Pickup Details:
Save $10: Pre-register online by 4:00 PM on Friday, July 3 to secure the early-bird rate of $20.
Day-of Registration: If you’re a last-minute planner, you can sign up at the Downtown Plaza on race morning between 6:30 AM and 7:15 AM for $30.
Note: The deadline to guarantee your preferred T-shirt size has passed (June 15), but registration remains wide open for all participants.
Packet Pickup Schedule:
Pre-Registration Pickup: Friday, July 3 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Meeker Rec Center.
Race Day Pickup: Saturday, July 4 from 6:30 AM – 7:15 AM at the Downtown Plaza.
Race Day Schedule (Saturday, July 4)
6:30 AM – 7:15 AM: On-site registration and packet pickup open.
7:30 AM Sharp: The race begins! (Note: There is a 1.5-hour time limit to complete the course, and you must start on time to receive official chip-timed results).
