All Marlins place in top six for all swims at Craig meet

MEEKER | The Meeker Marlins made a huge splash at the Craig Sea Sharks Open swim meet Father’s Day weekend.  Of the 47 swims, 24 placed first and 10 placed second, and all swimmers placed in the top six for all swims.

Tucker Chinn, swimming in the 9-10 boys, earned high point for the second weekend in a row, taking home 10 first places. Joe McKay, 13-14 boys, placed first in all seven of his events, including his first time mile swim (1,500 meters).  Nora Gianinetti, 13-14 girls, grabbed three firsts and a fourth in her first swim meet in two years, specializing in breaststroke.  Dexter Chinn, 9-10 boys, took home nine second place ribbons (to his brother’s firsts) and one first place ribbon. Judd Harvey, Addie Knowles, Hailey Knowles and Kate Lockwood swam one of the two days and placed well, improving on last year’s times.  The Marlins travel to Montrose June 28-30.
