RANGELY I The final game for the Rangely boys’ basketball team was played in Durango against Sangre de Cristo in the semifinal round of a state-qualifying regional tournament. The Panthers were eliminated in a 40-34 loss.

BMS wrestlers open season in Gypsum
MEEKER I One week after the Meeker High School wrestlers ended their season competing in the Colorado State Wrestling Championships, the Barone Middle School Cowboys were opening theirs in Gypsum, wrestling more than 50 matches.

RBC I Only seven Rangely Middle School boys are out for wrestling this season, but the total includes one of the most outstanding wrestlers in the area.

RANGELY I The Rangely Panthers boys’ basketball team won three of their last four regular season games, including a 52-49 win over Rio Blanco County rival Meeker in the regular season finale, in front of a large and loud county crowd.

RANGELY I Panther senior Lucas Heinle will represent his school for a fourth time in the Colorado State Wrestling Championships, which start today at 3 p.m. at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver.
