Buck out and about …

This big buck used the terrain and some thin fence posts to blend his antlers into the background while wandering just outside of Meeker along Highway 13 on Dec. 18. With the hunting threat over, the bucks seem to know they are safe wandering around.

Flu, cold cases normal: shots recommended

RBC I Doctors in Rangely and Meeker have had inquiries regarding cases of the flu versus colds and strep this season, and Margie Joy, the community relations director for Pioneers Medical Center and executive director of the Pioneers Medical Foundation, reported Monday that the situation is normal.
