From My Window: Sadness over lake-area changes; school year wacky; drivers beware
I looked out my window on Saturday and saw a familiar sight I had never seen before. And while the scenery was nearly breathtakingly beautiful, there was a slight sadness brought on by visions of a place I saw differently long ago.
Thursday night of Sheepdog Classic shines spotlight on art and lamb
MEEKER I Kicking off the Wednesday following Labor Day, the town of Meeker will again open its doors to the world for the 29th annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Championship Trials.
Two wildfires burning in area
MEEKER I This past weekend’s lightning burst resulted in 34 wildfires in Northwest Colorado, but only two of those blazes are uncontained as of late Tuesday and wildland fire crews and engines are working towards wrapping them up.
Meeker board annexes Curtis Creek Industrial Park
MEEKER I The seated members of the Meeker Town Board gave unanimous approval Tuesday to the annexation of the Curtis Creek Industrial Park, which encompasses 35 acres on the east side of Highway 13, opposite the new Pioneers Medical Center.

Four Meeker streets get facelift
MEEKER I Some of the streets in the east and northeast neighborhoods are the beneficiaries of the Town of Meeker’s 1.5-mile 2015 Paving Project, in which some town streets have already had their asphalt ground down and received a new two-inch overlay.
