Friday night music…
The band Finnders and Youngberg of Fort Collins filled the air downtown with high-quality bluegrass music during their concert on the county courthouse lawn. Several hundred people along with several of the OHV riders from out of town took in the music.

RBC I All the fun and work involved in the annual Rio Blanco County Fair officially begins Friday with the equestrian events and runs through Aug. 2 at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds in Meeker.
From My Window… From fun weekend to politics on to start of county fair
Must admit here, the county fair, no matter where one lives, is usually a fun time, and we are rapidly approaching the Rio Blanco County Fair, which officially slides its doors open on Friday at 4 p.m. with horse classes and the beginning of team roping at 6 p.m.

It is a constant amazement the lack of respect and the abundance of rudeness some people spew toward others with complete disregard for another person in situations where conflicts don’t really need to arise at all.

MEEKER I Off-road travel is growing rapidly in Rio Blanco County, and the third annual Wagon Wheel OHV Rendezvous will be held in Meeker starting today and running through Sunday.
