Byers serves mission for church
Hyrum Mark Byers, son of Mark and Beverly Byers of Rangely, left on May 26 to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anaheim, Calif.
Letter: Elimination of DOE would save money
In her recent column, Lt. Gov. O’Brien attempted to justify the U.S. Department of Education. I wasn’t convinced. As a state official, Ms. O’Brien should be objecting to the powers taken by the feds from state prerogatives. Sticking to the Constitution is an even more compelling reason.

Kelly Moyer, a 2006 Meeker High School graduate and a recent graduate of Colorado State University, will travel to Germany for six months with the International 4-H Youth Exchange.

ALL-STATE BASKETBALL: Stacey Fitzgibbons, Patrick Phelan play in all-state games
