Mustangs slog past Rifle in wet and cold
MEEKER | Despite last weekend’s wet and cold conditions, the third- and fourth-grade Meeker Mustangs outplayed Rifle, winning 19-6. Doak Mantle scored three touchdowns and an extra point for the Mustangs.

Glen Keller, 84, of Grand Junction passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at the Hospice Care Center. Glen was born May 28, 1925, in Meeker to Charles M. and Bertha (Murr) Keller. He grew up in and attended schools in Meeker.
