Senator-elect White to continue on panel

RBC — Bringing eight years of experience from the House of Representatives, including two years as the House Republicans’ only member on the powerful Joint Budget Committee, Senator-elect Al White of Hayden was appointed by Senate GOP chief Josh Penry to continue to serve on the key budget-writing panel.

Winter programs begin Dec. 9

MEEKER — Meeker winter music programs are Tuesday, Dec. 9 for the Meeker Elementary first, second and third grades. Dress rehearsal is 1:30 p.m., and the evening performance 6:30 p.m. On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the fourth, fifth and sixth grade choirs perform at 7 p.m.

Turner-Walker Engagement

MEEKER — Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Turner of Meeker are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Caitlin Rose Turner, to Chance Lee Walker. Chance is the son of Merrill (Lynn) Walker of Mountain View, Wyo., and Donna (Chris) Torres of Meeker.
