Dear Editor: Bigger and better every year has been the trend for Septemberfest. This event is the largest community event held in Rangely and could never be pulled off without all the help and volunteering that you see from our community members.
First baby born at new Pioneers Medical Center
MEEKER I On Monday at 1:53 p.m., Janna Polgar of Dillon, Colo., gave birth to a 6 pound 9 ounce, 21 and a half inch baby boy, making this the first birth at the new Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker.
Meeker harriers do well on Aspen’s high-altitude course
MEEKER I Cowboy Cross Country made the journey to Aspen for the Chris Severy Invitational on Saturday where beautiful views and weather made for a great day of racing.

RANGELY I The Rangely Cross Country runners were recently at the Chris Severy Invitational in Aspen, and with the weather nice and the mountains high the runners were ready for a good challenging course.
