Eskelson eighth in MHS cross-country
MEEKER I The Meeker High School cross-country team traveled to Crown Mountain Park in Basalt on Saturday for the team’s opening meet. Participation at the Longhorn Invitational has increased, doubling the number of runners from the previous year.

MEEKER I The Class of 1966 at Meeker High School enjoyed its 50-year reunion over the July 4 weekend. This year was our 10th get-together as we have met every five years since graduation.
Cribbage tournament Sunday
RANGELY I The annual WRBM Septemberfest cribbage tournament will be held Sunday, Sept. 4 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Rangely Elks Club at 633 Main St. This year’s tournament will be a single-play, double-elimination format. Tournament participation is $10 per person. All are welcome to participate.
