Brighton Bair represented Meeker at the Colorado State Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 30. The 2A girls race started at 11 a.m., and Bair crossed the finish line 21 minutes and 59 seconds later, 19th place in a field of 128 runners. Bair got off to a good start and held her place early. She attacked the hills and chased down a number of competitors throughout the race. She charged through the arena to the finish line, still looking strong.
“Brighton has been working hard all season for this, and it shows,” said head coach Marty Casey. “I am so proud of her, and am already looking forward to her season next year!”
