Barone tracksters do well in Baggs, Wyoming

MEEKER I Barone Middle School track team traveled to Baggs, Wyoming, on Friday, April 29. It was a cold, windy day but BMS athletes performed well.

Skylar Grimes, Serenity Murray, Marlen Olivas and Kailynn Watson took first place in the seventh grade girls 4×200-meter relay. Dawn Arnold, Axle Koenig, Ruth LeBlanc and Marlen Olivas received third place in the seventh grade girls 4×100-meter relay.

Tucker Chinn earned first place in the 100-meter hurdles for seventh grade boys. Ruth LeBlanc earned fourth place in the seventh grade girls shot put, and Jordyn Galland received sixth place for the eighth grade girls shot put.

Remy Broussard, Cameron Hanberg, Tristin Rollins and Aidan Tapia took fourth place in the eighth grade boys 800-meter relay. Tristin Rollins also earned fourth place in the eighth grade boys 100-meter hurdles.   The team numbers were small this week due to the State History Competition that many of the eighth-graders were competing in. BMS track next travels to Steamboat Springs on Saturday, May 7.
