Ethan Quinn and the Cowboy baseball team traveled to Buena Vista last weekend for the annual tournament. It was not great baseball weather for their opening game Friday against number five ranked 3A Bayfield. Giving up eight runs in the first inning, they held Bayfield close for the rest of the game, but came away with a 1-12 loss. In their second game on Friday afternoon the Cowboys were up 7-2 against the number three ranked Buena Vista Demons, but errors by the Cowboys and timely hits by the Demons led to a loss of 8-16.

Saturday, Meeker met another ranked team in Monte Vista. It was anyone’s game, but didn’t go the Cowboy way. Final score was 11-13 Monte Vista.
