MEEKER | Please be advised that someone claiming to be from WREA is calling members demanding payment for alleged delinquent electric bills and threatening to disconnect power if the bill isn’t paid immediately. This is a scam. WREA will not terminate service for delinquent accounts without proper notice and will never demand immediate payment via phone. If you receive a call from someone claiming to represent WREA and he/she is demanding payment via phone, we recommend that you hang up immediately and call WREA at 970-878-5041 to report the call. We will continue to be proactive in our fight and thank all of our WREA members who have already outsmarted the scammers by hanging up on them. Please share this information with family and friends so that we can work together to stop this nonsense.
