It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter but I do so to make good on a promise and to solve a mystery. This is a follow-up letter to the Meeker Herald’s coverage from 1991 to 1993 of the events sparked by the mysterious appearance of the “little[Read More…]
Letters To The Editor
Letter: Readers commend Rangely Chamber
It was our privilege to attend the Crab Crack in Rangely last Saturday night. The people of Rangely are to be commended for such a great job, it was an outstanding event.
Letter: A privilege to live in a place like Meeker
As I sit here in my motel room the same day my home, possessions and beloved pets were destroyed in a fire I realize why I live in small town America and especially Meeker.
Letter: Overdue thank you
This note of thanks is long overdue. I am so fortunate to live in Meeker where the city keeps the snow removed at once and the big litter clean-up after the 4th of July celebration. Thank you city workers and city administration for everything you do. Doris Walters Meeker

Letter: Citizen says “thanks”
Meeker is such a great town to live in. I want to thank all the wonderful people who live here and have helped me out the last couple of months. So many people helped me with both incoming and outgoing packages before Christmas.

Having served on the Rio Blanco County Planning Commission and BLM’s Northwest Colorado Resource Advisory Board I have learned to listen to both sides before making a decision. So, it was with disappointment that I realized the author had not[Read More…]
Letter: Thanks extended to ladies of shelter
We would like to thank Cindy, Fern, Heidi and Vikki for all of your help with our problems while adopting our new cat. Rangely is fortunate to have such caring ladies at the Rangely Animal Shelter.
Letter: Reader offers different point of view
Dear Editor: After reading the article written by Ms. Patti Wiliams last week, I would like an opportunity to debunk her propaganda. The statements in her article were the most commonly spread talking points out of the pro-wildhorse groups. Fact: There are too many wild horses on the range and[Read More…]
