Loose Ends: This is not what we remember

The following column appeared in the Herald Times before the Utes returned to the White River Valley and it caused many people to talk about the future of the Meeker Pageant. Some questioned my reasoning and tried to turn it into an “us vs. them” argument.

Up and Down el Rio Blanco: Birthdays

I love birthdays, or as my friend/boss Mitch wrote on my Facebook page, “Happy anniversary of your birth.” It’s not just my birthday I love, I love yours and everyone’s anniversaries of birth because they celebrate life and another day to live it.

Loose Ends: The meet and greet

The phrase “meet and greet” is now one of the most overused as many social gatherings use it as the main draw for people to get together.

Letter: Officials keeping residents in mind

Rio Blanco County is demonstrating it is serious about creating jobs. First and foremost, protecting the health and welfare of residents in Rio Blanco County is top priority for county government. And to this end, the Rio Blanco County commissioners do a heck of a job.
