David Daniel Bowlds, 56, of Rangely, Colo., passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. He was born Dec. 29, 1957, to Dan and Joanne Bowlds in Glendive, Mont., one of six children.

Hoarfrost coated trees around Rangely last week as a winter storm warning predicted up to a foot of snow in the area. Several inches supplemented the thinning blankets of snow around town in what has been, so far, a relatively mild winter on the west side of the county.
