Early morning fire does damage to Rangely home
RANGELY I A house fire broke out early Monday morning south of Rangely, severely damaging the home and resulting in a female living at the residence being taken to Rangely District Hospital with minor injuries, the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Park Mountain, standing 18 miles south of Rangely at the end of Dragon Road, remained shrouded in clouds for a week in early December as an inversion covering the valleys of eastern Utah and western Colorado persisted.
Couple new to staff at CNCC
RANGELY I Ryan and Robyn Wilson joined the staff of Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely in March. Ryan splits his time between instructional technology and teaching students in history and computer technology while Robyn is the advising and intervention specialist as well as a yoga instructor.

Rangely holiday vouchers up by 10 percent this year
RANGELY I Rangely’s fifth annual Shop ‘N’ Dine program, which ran through the month of November and ended Dec. 2, gave out approximately 10 percent more in voucher dollars than the amount distributed at last year’s event, Rangely Town Manager Peter Brixius said Friday.

RANGELY I Firefighters with the Rangely Rural Fire Protection District (RRFPD) contained a residential fire to the back third of a trailer home after a space heater reportedly being used to defrost frozen water lines ignited combustible material beneath the trailer on Sunday night.
