Region leaders gear up to protest new rules

RANGELY — A special report outlining planned regulations and legislation from state and federal government that would cripple or almost destroy the area’s economy was presented at Rangely’s monthly community networking meeting by Sandy Been of EIS Solutions in Grand Junction.

Rangely fishing derby set for June 7

RANGELY — The Rio Blanco Water Conservancy District, Rio Blanco Metropolitan Parks and Recreation District and Colorado Division of Wildlife, in conjunction with the State of Colorado Free Fishing Weekend, have scheduled the annual fishing derby for Saturday, June 7.

Collins earns BA

RANGELY — Kelsie Collins, daughter of David and Jenny Collins of Rangely, received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and business from Western State College in Gunnison, Colo., May 10, 2008.

Goat club starts community projects projects

RANGELY — The Udderly Cool Goat club met Thursday, May 8 at the extension office after planting trees at the community pens. There are many upcoming events for the club that included the feeder show on May 10, our community service projects and a fun trip later in the year.
