RANGELY I The annual Couples Classic Golf Tournament was played at Cedar Ridges Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, and the two-day event featured 20 teams from across the Western Slope and eastern Utah that were divided into two flights.

MEEKER I More than 20 Meeker kids were at Starbuck Stadium on Monday evening, running pass patterns as the sun was setting. “We’ve been having a good turnout all summer,” Meeker head football coach Shane Phelan said from mid field, watching mostly high school but some middle school kids play.
