Baseball season…

Rangely’s 11-12 year-old baseball team traveled to play a recreational league game against one of Meeker’s teams and although they mounted a comeback, time ran out with the Panthers behind 13-8.

RHS girls’ teams end up as consolation champs

RANGELY I With the 2012-2013 school year just ending, many Rio Blanco County teams are using the offseason to prepare for next year, including the Rangely Junior/Senior High School girls’ basketball program, which hosted a tournament Friday and Saturday.

Rangely High School graduate Tobie Gasper encouraged to run for home base by head coach Paul Fortunato after hitting a home run, was selected to play in the 1A-2A all-state baseball game. The all-state game will be played June 2 at Machebeuf High School in Denver, beginning at 2 p.m.
