RANGELY I It’s going to be a busy weekend for the Panther wrestlers. Rangely will have its first home match tonight against Grand Valley, starting at 6. Then, the Panthers will compete at dual team tournaments Friday at Roosevelt, Utah, and Saturday at Mesa State in Grand Junction.

Brenton earns all-American status
RANGELY — Former Rangely High School graduate Jason Brenton, currently a sophomore at Western State College in Gunnison, recently earned all-American honors by finishing eighth in the NCAA Division II national track and field meet in Mankato, Minn., March 14-15.
RHS Panther wrestlers end season with annual banquet
RANGELY — The Rangely Panther high school wrestling team ended its 2007-08 season last Wednesday evening. About 75 people were present for a great Mexican dinner prepared by the parents of the team.
RMS wrestlers finish second
RANGELY — The Rangley Middle School wrestling team started the season with a strong showing at Craig Middle School last Saturday. The Panthers took second place out of nine teams and as a dual meet/team tournament, there were no individual placements.

Panthers qualify seven wrestlers for the “big show”
RANGELY — The Panther wrestling team competed in the western regional tournament last Friday and Saturday at Grand Junction High School and qualified seven wrestlers for the 2008 Colorado State Wrestling Championships in the Pepsi Center, starting today.

RANGELY — The Panther wrestling team traveled to Fruita to wrestle its last dual of the season last Tuesday.
Panther wrestlers beat Cowboys in annual dual
RBC — “I’ve never seen the scoreboard on our side when we wrestled Meeker,” Rangely’s head coach Jeff LeBleu said after his Panthers defeated the Cowboys 15-48 last Friday in Meeker. It was the first time the Panthers have beat the Cowboys under LeBleu’s tenure.
