Panthers use down time to get ready

RANGELY I Even though it has been more than two weeks since their last meet, the Panther wrestlers haven’t exactly been taking a break. “We’re doin’ two-a-days this week, so we’re getting ready,” Rangely coach Jeff LeBleu said.

Rangely looks toward regionals

RANGELY I So much for a tuneup before regionals. Tuesday’s dual against top-ranked Altamont, Utah, was canceled. So next up for Rangely’s wrestling team is the regional tournament Feb. 12-13 in Palisade.

Rangely hosts triangular Friday, tourney Saturday

RANGELY I There’s no place like home. The Panthers will wrestle in front of a home crowd for the first time this season, hosting a triangular Friday and then following up with its invitational tournament on Saturday.

One match postponed, but Rangely still gets 10 duals

Panther wrestlers to see lots of action

RANGELY I It’s going to be a busy weekend for the Panther wrestlers. Rangely will have its first home match tonight against Grand Valley, starting at 6. Then, the Panthers will compete at dual team tournaments Friday at Roosevelt, Utah, and Saturday at Mesa State in Grand Junction.

Brenton earns all-American status

RANGELY — Former Rangely High School graduate Jason Brenton, currently a sophomore at Western State College in Gunnison, recently earned all-American honors by finishing eighth in the NCAA Division II national track and field meet in Mankato, Minn., March 14-15.
