MEEKER | Last week, the Meeker Summer Rodeo Series heated up as it heads into championship Thursday with two major storylines still unfolding after Week 8 on Aug. 6, as Dawson Nunn extended his ranch bronc riding winning streak to seven consecutive rodeos and the bull riding purse climbed to $4,500.
Competitors returned to the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds for another night of team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, mutton bustin’ and roughstock competition.
