Conservation Corner: Yampa White Green Basin Roundtable Meeting – Action Packed Agenda on Nov 11

Last week, the Conservation Corner discussed the value in protecting your water right. This week we share an opportunity for you to hear valuable updates from key water policy decision makers for the State of Colorado as well as a group that is promoting the connection between our forests’ health and water quality and quantity. This is an action-packed opportunity, and you can hear it all from the comforts of your home!
You are encouraged to listen in on the next Yampa, White, Green (YWG) Basin Roundtable meeting on November 11, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Kevin Rein, the Division of Water Resources (DWR) Director, presentation regarding how he anticipates implementing water rights in the case of a Colorado River Compact Call.

Amy Ostdiek, the Deputy Chief for Federal, Interstate, and Water Information Section of the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), will discuss Demand Management and the Next Steps.

A team from the Colorado Forest and Water Alliance will discuss the connection between forest health and water quality/quantity and the importance of sound scientific policies to improve the forest health to protect Colorado water.
