MEEKER | Meeker High School cross country traveled to Craig for the Moffat County Invitational on Saturday, held at Loudy-Simpson Park. “We had excellent weather, with perfect race temperatures,” said head coach Marty Casey.
Haylee Steele had her best race this season, a 46th place finish at 26:53.
Aidan Tapia was again the first Cowboy teammate to finish in the boys’ race, his season best of 20:37, for 41st place. Wyatt Rollins was back to racing this week, 50th place at 21:43. Cameron Hanberg continues to impress, setting a new Personal Record (PR) of 22:50, and 63rd overall. Remy Broussard was 81st, at 30:53, a new PR by more than a minute.
“We are seeing continued improvement as the season progresses, including significant PR’s and season best times. We are looking forward to continuing that at Delta on Friday,” Casey said.
