Cross country will be having two-a-day practices beginning Monday at 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., meeting in front of the high school for both. The Cowboy Cross Country Camp will be Friday and Saturday, Aug. 12 and 13. Interested student-athletes can contact head coach Marty Casey, or show up for practice. Our first meet will be our home meet, Saturday, Aug. 20.
Softball starts Monday and will have practice from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the rec center softball field. This schedule will hold for Monday through Thursday but then the team will also have Friday morning practices from 9 to 11 a.m. Head coach Kendall Bergman wants to remind her players that physicals need to be completed ASAP. “I’m very excited to get back on the dirt,” commented Bergman, “We’ve got such a great group of girls and we’re looking forward to having another fun and successful season. This year’s schedule has over fifty percent of the games on Cowboy home turf, games begin on Aug. 18 with the first home game on Aug. 20.
Volleyball will begin with two-a-days on Monday, August 8 from 6 to 8 a.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. for the first week, and then starting Aug. 15 it will be 4 to 7 p.m. The first match of the season is Aug. 19 against Plateau Valley and then the first home game will be against Hayden on August 27.

Head coach Andy Coreyell and the Cowboy football team hosted a 7-on-7 summer scrimmage Thursday at the practice field against Moffat County (pictured above). It gave the team an opportunity to run their offense, younger teammates time on the field, and helped the coaches see where work needs to be done. Practice was in full swing this week with two-a-days. The first official game is Aug. 26.
