MEEKER | The Meeker Cowboys have come out swinging with a succession of wins after two early season losses.
The Cowboys took on Olathe last Friday, winning 40-6 on their home field during Senior Night. It was the team’s sixth win in a row, bringing them to 4-0 and a number one ranking in the Western Slope 1A League.
Sophomore Cade Mills had two touchdowns and classmate Said Rodriguez had one. Seniors Tyler Sander, Clay Crawford and Finley Deming each had a touchdown in the Olathe game, according to MaxPreps.
The Cowboys (6-2) will now head into a contest with the Grand Valley Cardinals on Friday, Nov. 1 in Parachute. Grand Valley has a 2-6 record. Game time is 7 p.m.
