MEEKER | The Meeker Cowboy football team will hit the field Monday, Aug. 1 for their official start of the fall season.
This year the Cowboys have a new head coach Andy Coryell, and while he is new in his role as head coach, he has been with the team for many seasons as offensive coordinator. Joining Coryell this year is Matt Dupire, Darby Finley, Matt Scott and new to Coryell’s staff is Pete Doan.
The first week of practices will be two-a-days from 8 to 9 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
The Cowboys are busy this time of year, they are hosting a 7-on-7 Thursday at 6:30 p.m., the annual Cowboy Kickoff Classic golf tournament will be Aug. 19, and the first game of the 2022 season will be Aug. 26 in North Fork.
