After just a few practices the Cowboys hit the links three times in five days. Friday in Cedaredge Drew Drake shot a 106 and Sam Hightower a 108. The team then played Monday at Adobe Creek and Tuesday in Rifle. Wil Schwartz led the team in Fruita, shooting 89 and Drake was once again in the top two shooting a 106.
“We are already seeing improvement,” commented head coach Willy Theos, “and I look forward to seeing how they continue to do.”
Golf, which has a shorter season than any of the other fall sports, ramps up early and finishes at the end of September. The team will play in Montrose Thursday and then Aspen, Basalt and Delta next Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
